Gut issues and ongoing diarrhea
What we did:
1-1 Consultation, transition to a fresh food raw diet.
Before I started working with Jacinta, both boys struggled with gut issues and ongoing diarrhea. Loki ended up at the vet with bloody diarrhea and both dogs got diagnosed with IBD and colitis. The vet gave me a few options from food suggestions to ongoing medication. I wanted the most natural and gentle option for my boys so I decided to try fresh feeding.I did quite a lot of research online but got really overwhelmed and then a friend recommended Jacinta at Chadwick Nutrition.
After our first consultation I felt really motivated to get started with fresh feeding!
I went straight into feeding slow cooked food for the dogs. With two medium/large dogs that meant that I was cooking a new batch of food every day, so after a few months and a follow up consult with Jacinta, we switched to raw feeding which has worked better for the dogs to get their bone/calcium intake without any issues.
Since working with Jacinta and switching to a fresh feeding diet, the boys are doing brilliant! They now have nice small, firm poos, their coat is so soft and shiny, and their overall condition is so much better. They have dropped fat and gained muscle making them look really fit.
